Google Accused of Anti-IslamicSan Francisco - Internet search engine giant Google was accused to discredit Islam. Public outcry came after a busy few reports that mention Google's users refused to use the keyword search for 'Islam'.


Google has long been a belief of Internet users in any searches. Just by typing in keywords in the search field, Google will automatically display the search results can help users find the right information.

But last week, some users find that Google is not able to display search results with keyword 'Islam'. Google search results did not appear, even though the search is repeated. Meanwhile, when users type in keywords 'Christian' and 'Jew', Google's search results directly show related term. Such information is quoted from the Daily Mail, Monday (1/11/2010).

Responding to these reports, Google tries to explain the matter that they were currently in the process of filtering the search results associated with pornography, foul language and dirty, and violence.

"If you find a term that does not deserve to appear in search results, please contact us by giving the posting on the Google Web Search Help Forum," a Google spokesman said.

He also said, adding, lack of search results with keyword 'Islam' because of problems in the software and had no wish to discredit religion or a particular party.

"It was caused defects in the software and we were trying to fix it as quickly as possible," he added.

Google does not provide further clarification. However, if the check, now appears on Google search with keywords Islam began returning to normal.
